Katarina Hanzel

Clinical Intern

I'm Katarina Hanzel, a grad student and clinical intern passionate about supporting people as they navigate their emotions and challenges in their lives. Many people have experienced difficulties in their past that begin to boil over and impact other areas in their lives. Helping both kids and adults process and heal from these experiences can lead to better self-understanding and life satisfaction.

What excites me most about my work is helping people understand why they feel and act the way they do. It is important in our work together to identify patterns that are beneficial and also ones that might need to change. In my work with kids and teens I create a safe space and meet them at their level to develop age-appropriate life skills. Similarly, in working with adults we explore ways in which these early experiences have shaped them, and we will work towards healing.

I firmly believe that individuals are the real experts on their own lives. That's why I take a flexible approach, working closely with them to uncover their strengths and areas where they might need a hand. Together, we use this insight to tailor therapy to each session, utilizing a variety of interventions that best suit their unique needs. My goal? To help people light up their path to feeling happier, more confident, and ready to tackle whatever comes their way.
